(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – In Germany, around 27 million people volunteer. They invest their free time, take on responsibility, and thus keep the community together, whether in the volunteer fire department, emergency services, or other aid organizations such as the Technical Relief Agency (THW).

To honor this social commitment, Mitsubishi has launched the so-called “Blue Light Campaign.” Since July 1, 2026, volunteers benefit from attractive special conditions when purchasing a new vehicle.
Eligible for this campaign are private individuals who can prove active voluntary engagement at the time of vehicle order. This particularly concerns people active in volunteer fire departments, aid organizations such as the German Red Cross, the Johanniter, the Maltesers, the Workers’ Samaritan Federation, or the DLRG, as well as the Technical Relief Agency or in rescue and disaster protection organizations.
Volunteering as a matter of definition
Furthermore, eligibility includes other voluntary activities in the public interest, provided these are confirmed by an officially recognized organization. A fundamental prerequisite is that the respective activity is performed without pay or predominantly on a voluntary basis. Full-time employees of the mentioned organizations are excluded from the program unless a separate regulation exists. Whether party membership also counts as volunteering remains open.

How large the financial advantage within the campaign can be is illustrated by the calculation example for the Mitsubishi Outlander. With a non-binding recommended retail price of 49,990 euros and a recommended discount of 21 percent, this corresponds to a price reduction of around 10,500 euros.
State PHEV bonus additionally possible
Additionally, eligible buyers have the option to apply for the state e-car subsidy for plug-in hybrids, which amounts to up to 4,500 euros depending on personal conditions. With the maximum subsidy, the effective purchase price for the Outlander is thus around 34,990 euros, corresponding to a total advantage of up to nearly 15,000 euros compared to the non-binding recommended retail price.

The Outlander is characterized by equipment highlights such as the intelligent all-wheel drive S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control), modern driver assistance and connectivity solutions, as well as a purely electric range of up to 86 kilometers according to WLTP.
Discounts for other models
In addition to the Outlander, attractive conditions also apply to the rest of Mitsubishi’s model range within the Blue Light Campaign. For the ASX model, a discount of twelve percent is planned, while the Grandis receives a 14 percent discount and the Eclipse Cross a 15 percent discount.
As a fully electric model, the Eclipse Cross also benefits from a state e-car subsidy of up to 6,000 euros.
The granted special conditions are exclusively aimed at eligible end customers and are not transferable to third parties. The campaign is initially limited and valid until December 31, 2026. It can be used at all participating Mitsubishi dealers.
