(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – Marc Philipp Gemballa, son of tuning legend Uwe Gemballa, has presented a new super sports car. The Marsien GT is based on the already known Marsien, but unlike this one, it is clearly aimed at asphalt drivers rather than desert drivers. Technically, a Porsche 911 Turbo S serves as the basis, visually and conceptually there are clear references to the Porsche 959.

The Marsien was originally developed as a high-performance vehicle for use in the desert. Its name is derived from the French word for “Martian” and refers to the Mars-like desert landscape of the United Arab Emirates. A total of 40 off-road capable Marsien units have been built so far.
With the new Marsien GT, the focus now clearly shifts towards the road. The vehicle sits lower and features a firmer setup. At the same time, the GT is intended to combine extreme driving performance with a certain everyday usability.
819 hp from a Ruf six-cylinder
The Porsche 911 Turbo S serves as the basis, but not much of its body remains. Marc Philipp Gemballa’s company replaces it with a newly developed carbon fiber outer shell. The engine also takes a unique path: the standard 711 hp powertrain is replaced by a Ruf biturbo boxer.
The six-cylinder produces 819 hp and develops 930 Nm of maximum torque. For those who want more, an optional engine upgrade is available, increasing the power to over 900 hp.
A new double wishbone construction is used for the chassis tuning. This includes KW dampers that can actively respond to changes in the road surface.

Inside, the independent interpretation of the Porsche theme continues. The gear lever, which visually resembles that of the Porsche Carrera GT, is striking. Customers can choose from various interior packages, including combinations of leather, Alcantara, and carbon.

Only 30 units of the Marsien GT are to be produced. Prices start at 770,000 euros, not including the required 911 Turbo S, which currently costs from 271,000 euros.
The production number of 30 vehicles has a special significance: it is meant to commemorate the 70th birthday that Uwe Gemballa would have celebrated this year. Together with the 40 Marsien units already built, this results in a total of 70 vehicles from his son’s program.
However, it is important to distinguish from the original Gemballa company. Marc Philipp Gemballa’s company is legally independent from his father’s former tuning business, which was known, among other things, for spectacular conversions of the Porsche 911 Turbo and BMW 635CSi.
The Marsien GT will celebrate its world premiere this week at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance as part of the Monterey Car Week in the USA.
