Roundtable: How do the new F1 engines work, David Varnholt?

And who better to invite before the Formula 1 race in Miami and the recently presented adjustments to the new regulations than an expert engineer? And that is David Varnholt this Tuesday.

David Varnholt has been working as a motorsport engineer at Porsche for many years, including in the US-American IMSA and the WEC. He is familiar with performance and knows from his many years of experience in endurance racing, as well as through his curiosity and own research, what is important for the new Formula 1 engine regulations.

Formula 1 Regulars’ Table: What is it?

On Tuesday evening from 7:00 PM, we will chat about Formula 1 in the monthly members’ regulars’ table on the Formel1.de YouTube channel. First, host Kevin Scheuren will direct his questions to David Varnholt, after which channel members (3.99 Euro/month: Become a member now!) will have the chance to ask questions and openly exchange ideas.

Most recently, former Formula 1 driver Timo Glock was a guest in December. Before that, prominent figures such as former Haas team principal Günther Steiner, Racing Bulls CEO Peter Bayer, or former Grand Prix drivers Alexander Wurz and Nick Heidfeld were also at our regulars’ table, as was the legendary Mercedes motorsport boss Norbert Haug.

The previous regulars’ tables (since December 2021) have always lasted between three and seven hours. Once the prominent guest has left the livestream, there is still the opportunity to discuss Formula 1 with like-minded people or to ask our team questions and talk shop about what is currently the topic in the “premier class”.

Participate or just watch: Both are possible!

Our channel members can participate in the April regulars’ table (Start: Tuesday, 7:00 PM) themselves. Either passively as viewers of the livestream, or actively with text messages via the live chat. Or even directly face-to-face with a webcam or smart device.

As many users as possible will have the opportunity to become active themselves. Ideally, in a relaxed, informal setting, with a glass of beer or wine in hand – just as you would expect from a regulars’ table in a pub.

Channel members who do not wish to actively participate in the discussion but are interested in what is being discussed and how, can watch the livestream from 7:00 PM on the Formel1.de YouTube channel, or of course, after the regulars’ table ends, on demand as a video (full length also only for members).
