– During his first Formula 1 season, Arvid Lindblad is working, among other things, on getting his driver’s license. There was a small update on this before the Belgian Grand Prix. His first lesson went extremely positively, and the Racing Bulls driver consequently thinks: “I don’t need any more, I can take the test now.”

However, the transition from a race car to a passenger car brings with it a change that was quite unusual for the rookie: “The concept of speed limits was strange to me,” explains Lindblad with a smile on his face.
“The idea that you have to hold the accelerator pedal in a very specific position so as not to go faster. That was a little strange.”

The Racing Bulls driver confesses: “I didn’t like that. Sometimes you drive at 30 there, which is incredibly slow. But yes, safety comes first.”
The rookie doesn’t have to worry about a lack of speed on the racetrack. After all, he’s in the currently best car in the midfield and can keep up with his more experienced teammate Liam Lawson.

In the Constructors’ World Championship, the junior team of the Red Bulls is in sixth position. In the Drivers’ World Championship, Lindblad is in eleventh place after the Belgian weekend, 17 points behind teammate Lawson in tenth position.
In Spa-Francorchamps, the youngster was able to drive into the top 10 again and take two more points for the team from Faenza. The rookie benefited from the team’s latest upgrade package. From the Hungarian race onwards, Lawson can also use the new development stage of the VCARB 03.
Already at his debut in Australia, the 18-year-old managed to impress. The Racing Bulls driver immediately managed to score points. Since the Monaco race, Lindblad has finished in the top 10 at every Grand Prix.
