Ferrari Amalfi Spider (2026): Open after the Roma

(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – A good six months after the closed Amalfi, Ferrari has now presented the Amalfi Spider, a 2+2 model with a front-mid-engine and twin-turbo V8. Or as Ferrari puts it: “The design of the Amalfi Spider was shaped by the desire to maintain the proportions and volume of the Ferrari Amalfi, so that its elegant, flowing silhouette is preserved even with the top open.”

The body of the Amalfi Spider measures 4.660 mm in length, 1.974 mm in width and 1.305 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2.670 mm. The weight distribution is 48 percent front and 52 percent rear. The trunk holds 255 liters with the roof closed and 172 liters with the roof open.

The electrically operated fabric top opens in 13,5 seconds and can be operated at speeds up to 60 km/h. The roof mechanism is compactly built so that storage takes up little space, and the five-layer construction offers, according to Ferrari, sound and heat insulation comparable to a folding hardtop.

The engine has a displacement of 3.855 cc, produces 640 hp at 7.500 rpm and develops a maximum torque of 760 Nm between 3.000 and 5.750 rpm. The rev limit is 7.600 rpm, and the specific output is 166 hp per liter.

The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 320 km/h. From 0 to 200 km/h, the Spider takes 9,4 seconds, the dry weight-to-power ratio is 2,42 kg/hp, and the braking distances are 30,8 m from 100-0 km/h and 119,5 m from 200-0 km/h.

Driving dynamics are supported by a brake-by-wire system that improves brake modulation, and by ABS Evo, which ensures stability under all grip conditions. An active rear spoiler can be adjusted in three stages, from lower drag to a maximum downforce of 110 kg at 250 km/h, to optimize aerodynamic efficiency and vehicle stability.

Additional aerodynamic elements such as vortex generators, diffusers and wheel covers improve flow efficiency. For open-top driving, a wind deflector is integrated into the backrests of the rear seats, which can be activated even at speeds up to 170 km/h.

The wheels measure 20 inches, with tires of dimensions 245/35 R20 at the front and 285/35 R20 at the rear, developed in collaboration with Pirelli, Goodyear and Bridgestone. The brake discs have a diameter of 390 x 223 x 34 mm at the front and 360 x 233 x 32 mm at the rear.

Transmission is via an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox (F1 DCT). Driving dynamics are controlled by systems such as EPS, VDC, F1-TCS, E-Diff3, SSC 6.1, FDE 2.0, SCM-E Frs and ABS Evo in all Manettino modes. The 2+ configuration offers two rear seats for children or additional storage space, while the cockpit is designed for driver orientation.

The Spider features digitized control with three displays: a 15,6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10,25-inch central screen for multimedia and vehicle functions, and an 8,8-inch passenger display. Connectivity is ensured via Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MyFerrari Connect. Ferrari has not yet commented on the price. A figure of approximately 270.000 Euro is being discussed.
