– Toyota driver Sami Pajari won the Rally Finland on Sunday, the tenth round of the 2026 World Rally Championship (WRC). The 24-year-old finished his home rally with a lead of 26.7 seconds over his teammate Oliver Solberg after 20 special stages covering a total of 316.04 kilometers. Pajari followed up his first WRC victory with a second win. Just two weeks ago, he had triumphed for the first time in a WRC event at Rally Estonia. At the same time, Pajari made WRC history as it was the 200th victory by a Finnish driver in the World Rally Championship.
However, Pajari benefited from the serious accident of his teammate Sebastien Ogier during the win at the fast gravel rally in his home country.

The nine-time world champion, who competed in Finland for the first time since 2021 with his long-time co-driver Julien Ingrassia, had led the rally since Friday morning and seemed on course for victory.
However, on Saturday, Ogier went off the road on the 17th special stage for reasons yet unknown. His Toyota GR Yaris went straight ahead at high speed in a right-hand corner and rolled over several times. Ogier and Ingrassia were able to free themselves from the wreck under their own power and suffered no serious injuries. However, the two spent the night in the hospital for observation.
