Simracers can look forward to a modernization of the Nürburgring Nordschleife and Monza, making the two tracks feel even closer to the original from a driving perspective. For this, the developers have made various changes such as the road surface, curbs, and other details, while also revising the visual presentation.
For GT3 fans, the DTM 2026 Car Pack, which will be released next week earlier than ever before in the year, offers four new vehicles: Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, Lamborghini Temerario GT3, Ford Mustang GT3 Evo, and Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo.
New Vehicles, New HUD
There are also innovations for players in the racing simulation area with the Summer Update, including the first version of the new HUD based on a proprietary technical development, which will receive further improvements and features throughout the year.
The maximum number of vehicles allowed on the RaceRoom starting grid, previously 34 to 36, will also change in the future. Initial tests with 50 or more vehicles were promising, so with an upcoming update—not the Summer Update—more participants will be possible in online races.

What KW Studios is working on for the near and distant future
As Jean-Francois Chardon, Head of KW Studios, confirmed, work continues on a new rendering engine. There is not much to say about it currently, except that it is a rather long-term project. More tangible is the new backend system, which will address many problems familiar to RaceRoom players and enable developers to implement features such as a driving school, single-player events that can be started with one click, and more.
Touring car fans can look forward, according to Christian Wacker-Baur, RaceRoom Director Strategy & Sales, to an expansion of the starting field soon with the Ford Mondeo Super Touring Car and Peugeot 408 Super Touring Car, which have been repeatedly requested by players. Later in the year, the popular NSU TTS will be expanded by two more vehicles, and a large Nürburgring DLC is being prepared for the December update. This also includes 2 to 3 new vehicles that were seen at this year’s 24-hour race.
Additionally, work is being done on cup race cars, and there is an attempt to offer a Formula 1 car in the racing simulation. The RaceRoom Director Strategy & Sales also expressed confidence that an automatic series and championship function, which is already being worked on, can be made available in the near future.
