– Pascal Wehrlein is Formula E world champion for the second time! The Porsche driver secured the title in dramatic fashion at the final race of the 2025/26 season in London. In a turbulent final phase, Wehrlein was involved in a collision with his title rival Jake Dennis (Andretti).

Both drivers damaged their vehicles in the process. Dennis had to pit to change the car’s nose and missed the points positions as 18th, which secured Wehrlein’s title win. The German finished 14th, and a five-second penalty for the collision had no consequences for him.
For the 31-year-old Wehrlein, this is his second Formula E title after 2024. So far, Jean-Eric Vergne was the only double champion in Formula E. In 2015, he also became the youngest driver in history to win the DTM championship. The victory in the 17th and final race of the season went to Taylor Barnard (DS-Penkse), who gave DS a perfect farewell from Formula E in the French manufacturer’s last race.

The Gen3 era of Formula E ended with the finale on the course at the Excel in London. In the 2026/27 season, which is set to start on December 18 and 19 with a double-header in Jeddah, the electric racing series will switch to the Gen4 car, which is significantly more powerful.
