Because the proceeds from the auction, which takes place via the “F1 Authentics” platform, will go 100 percent to the “Wings for Life” foundation. Both Verstappen and Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies support the project as official ambassadors. “Following Max’s contract extension with the team, we are proud to auction one of his special edition racing suits from the Dutch GP in favor of our team charity Wings for Life,” says Mekies.
