Also in Moto2, the leader is the same in the morning and afternoon: Ivan Ortola ends this training Friday with a new track record of 1:49.791 minutes, just 58 thousandths ahead of Daniel Holgado, who also stays under the old best time. Senna Agius, Alonso Lopez, and Celestino Vietti complete the top 5.

Manuel Gonzalez is sixth. Daniel Munoz, Alex Escrig, Collin Veijer, and Izan Guevara occupy the remaining top-10 spots. Behind them, Ayumu Sasaki, Barry Baltus, Angel Piqueras, and Taiyo Furusato also advance directly to Q2.

Also in the afternoon training of Moto3, David Almansa is ahead. He leads the field with a time of 1:57.473 minutes just ahead of Rico Salmela. Valentin Perrone is third, followed by Adrian Fernandez and Alvaro Carpe.

Casey O’Gorman, Jesus Rios, Maximo Quiles, Matteo Bertelle, and Guido Pini form the second half of the top 10. In positions eleven to fourteen, Marco Morelli, Adrian Cruces, Joel Kelso, and Hakim Danish also secure direct entry to Q2. Cormac Buchanan remains last after an early highsider.

The rescheduled Qatar Grand Prix on November 8 remains uncertain due to the tense situation in the Middle East. Carlos Ezpeleta, deputy MotoGP chief since this week, emphasizes on the sidelines of the Aragon weekend that the officials are still negotiating with the Qatari government and want to keep the race on the calendar.

A decision should be made preferably before the start of the Asia tour in early October. According to Ezpeleta, the 2027 MotoGP calendar is also largely complete and is expected to be published in three to four weeks.

Andrea Iannone tops the first training with a time of 1:57.359 minutes ahead of Oscar Gutierrez and Archie McDonald. Eric Granado, current overall leader, is fourth. Jordi Torres completes the top 5, which are already separated by more than a second.

Marc Marquez completes the training with a single set of tires but remains ahead until the end. Raul Fernandez improves to second place with a fresh rear tire and is only 35 thousandths behind. Bezzecchi is third, followed by Alex Marquez and Acosta.

Miller leads the second half of the top 10 ahead of Morbidelli, Di Giannantonio, Aldeguer, and Quartararo. Zarco finishes his first session on his comeback in eleventh place.

Shortly before the end, Acosta crashes with his KTM. At the entrance of turn 12, he has a long slide over the front wheel and skids over the paved runoff area and finally into the gravel trap. He was unharmed.

Marc Marquez improved his own best time to 1:47.532 minutes, distancing his brother by two and a half tenths. Ten minutes remain.

A few riders switched to a fresh front tire in the second run. However, the majority continue with their first set. Marc and Alex Marquez remain the only ones with 1:47 times so far. Bezzecchi has improved to third place and is getting closer to the mark.

In the first run, the Marquez brothers set the pace. Marc leads with 1:47.763 minutes ahead of Alex, who is only 33 thousandths behind. Acosta is just under half a second behind in third place. Bezzecchi and Aldeguer complete the current top 5. Morbidelli, Zarco, Martin, Miller, and Rins follow in the other positions.

While the first lap times are coming in, the first rider is already down. It is Di Giannantonio, who slipped over the front wheel in turn 3. He was unharmed, but his bike spun a few times in the gravel trap.

It is dry and sunny in Aragon. The air is 21 degrees, the asphalt 33 degrees. For the first run, most riders go out with the soft front tire and the medium variant on the rear. 45 minutes are on the clock.

Alongside Johann Zarco, Fermin Aldeguer also returns in Aragon after about two months off. He suffered a fracture of the T7 vertebrae in a training crash in Assen. The 21-year-old Spaniard says he is not yet at 100 percent but already feels good on the motorcycle.

“It’s more about strength and riding more laps than about pain,” explains Aldeguer. He has only been training again in the gym and on the bike for three weeks and sat on the motorcycle again for the first time last week.

The MotoGP machine now presents a significantly greater load. Therefore, Aldeguer wants to take the weekend calmly, dose the lap load, and improve step by step until Sunday.

Two riders are missing due to injury at the MotoGP weekend in Aragon: Ai Ogura must pause due to a fracture of the left thumb. The Trackhouse pilot, currently third in the world championship and winner in Assen, is replaced by Aprilia test rider Lorenzo Savadori. Ogura was successfully operated on Thursday in Barcelona; the timing of his return is still open.

Maverick Vinales is also still missing. The Tech3 KTM pilot continues to work on his recovery from a shoulder injury and is again replaced by Pol Espargaro. Vinales hopes to return at the following race in Misano.

In Moto2, Ivan Ortola secures the top spot with a late attack and marks the best time with 1:50.265 minutes. Alonso Lopez is second 0.213 seconds behind, Izan Guevara is third. IntactGP riders Senna Agius and Manuel Gonzalez complete the top 5 but already have more than half a second deficit.

Angel Piqueras, Daniel Holgado, Barry Baltus, David Alonso, and Tony Arbolino form the second half of the top 10. There are no incidents in this session.
