(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – We are still waiting for the sporty variants like the S6 and the eagerly awaited new RS 6, but overall the new Audi A6 has relatively fully arrived on the market. What was still missing so far is a tuning program for the sixth generation of the business class from Ingolstadt. The world’s largest Audi tuner Abt now provides a remedy and presents its first optimizations for the C9 series.

The focus is on a relatively substantial power increase for the two plug-in hybrid drives of the A6. The combination of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and electric motor delivers 299 and 367 hp in series. The maximum torque is 450 and 500 Nm. After the Abt intervention, 360 hp are available for the smaller and 428 hp for the larger power level. The maximum torque increases to 550 Nm for both variants.
“The power delivery is thus significantly more present across the entire speed range, without changing the typical characteristics of the hybrid drive such as smooth running and everyday usability,” raves the Kempten tuner in the press release.
Abt refines the look of the A6 with a glossy black front spoiler, a trim strip on the rear, and a rear spoiler including aero flaps. These are complemented by the typical 4-pipe tailpipe trims and in-house 21-inch wheels.

Those who want a slightly sportier driving dynamic receive suspension springs from the Allgäu region that provide a firmer setup and are intended to “improve steering behavior and feedback during driving.” Abt speaks of an “overall more direct driving feel without compromising comfort on long distances.”

For the interior of the large Audi, the tuner offers door entry lighting as well as specially developed floor mats. The complete package for the A6 Avant Hybrid is available at a price of 17,000 euros. Additional costs for installation, painting, and TÜV approval apply. For vehicles with air suspension, an alternative version without suspension springs is available at a price of 16,700 euros.
