Because the Dane celebrated his first victory in the traditional series exactly two years ago in the Sunday race of the DTM at the Norisring in the SSR Lamborghini, which already showed his strength on the street circuit in Nuremberg. This year, the Aston Martin factory driver, who was then sitting in the Lamborghini thanks to a release from his employer, struck twice.
In the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, he achieved two wins on his favorite track at one DTM weekend with the “family,” as Thiim calls Aston Martin, even though he had to carry 20 kilograms of success ballast on Sunday.
