(MST/Speedmaniacs.de) – After the original announcement of the official IndyCar video game at the end of August 2025, it has remained quite quiet about the title expected in the second half of 2026, which will bring the series back to PC and consoles over 20 years after the last official IndyCar video game.

On Friday, July 10, 2026, iRacing and INDYCAR announced that the game titled INDYCAR Racing The Game will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S “early 2027.” No reasons for the delay were given. However, it was stated that a release is expected ahead of the Indianapolis 500 taking place from May 28 to 30, 2027.
While details about the game and its features as well as pre-order information are expected in the coming months, in addition to today’s second announcement, the first screenshots can be viewed in our gallery for the game.
Furthermore, licensors and developers expressed in today’s announcement what IndyCar and motorsport fans as well as sim racers can look forward to.
