This will be increased by 0.03 bar over almost the entire rev range; only in the very high range is there no improvement. Already after Saturday’s qualifying, the Vantage GT3 Evo had received between 0.02 and 0.03 bar more boost pressure compared to the initial classification. Additional advantage: In contrast to Saturday’s race, there is no success ballast for Thiim.
For BMW, too, the boost pressure can be increased again after the first adjustment, when almost consistently 0.05 bar was added. This time it is 0.03 bar up to the mid-rev range of 6,000 rpm, while the curve flattens out afterwards and no further increase is allowed in the high range.
The BMW Team Schubert finished seventh with Kelvin van der Linde at their home race in Oschersleben on Saturday, while Marco Wittmann retired due to a tire puncture.
After Emil Frey’s demand: More power on the second race day
The Ferrari team Emil Frey, which had already demanded a better classification before Oschersleben but had not been considered until now, can also look forward to more boost pressure on Sunday: The 296 GT3 Evo gets an additional 0.03 bar over almost the entire rev range. In the mid-range at 6,500 rpm, it’s even 0.04 bar, while in the very high range, the boost pressure remains unchanged.

It remains to be seen whether, with the new settings, Matteo Cairoli, who even led the overall DTM standings after the Lausitzring and is now fifth, will be able to achieve more than an eleventh place.
Ford Mustang GT3 Evo also receives better classification
And for the Ford Mustang GT3 Evo, with which Arjun Maini fought for a sixth place on Saturday despite the track being unfavorable for the car, a larger restrictor may be installed.
While this was previously 38 millimeters in diameter, it will be 39 millimeters from Sunday’s qualifying. The HRT car with the V8 engine was already the fastest vehicle in terms of top speed on Saturday. It would be no surprise if that doesn’t change on Sunday either.

The second qualifying starts on Sunday at 9:25 AM (all info on TV times, stream, etc.) – in the race, tires could play a role, as this time only three sets of tires may be used for both race days and two mandatory pit stops are scheduled. But rain is also not ruled out on the second race day.
