The Bovensiepen Zagato, which celebrated its world premiere in May 2025 at the Fuori Concorso on Lake Como, represents a technological and design symbiosis of Bavarian engineering and Italian design. The bodywork was designed in collaboration with the traditional Milanese design studio Zagato and is characterized by classic proportions such as an elongated bonnet and a striking rear profile.
The Gran Turismo, based on the BMW M4, is limited to a worldwide production run of just 99 units, which underlines the exclusive character of this coachbuilding project. The production of each individual example takes place in the manufactory in Buchloe and requires over 250 working hours.
Consistent Lightweight Construction
A key feature of the design is the extensive use of lightweight materials; thus, the over 400 precisely manufactured add-on parts consist almost entirely of carbon fiber reinforced plastic.
The high standard of craftsmanship continues in the interior. Customers can, for example, opt for a full leather interior made of Lavalina leather, the production of which alone requires over 130 hours of manual work. The now activated online configuration tool allows interested parties to implement individual wishes regarding color design, visible carbon exterior accents, or the painting of the brake calipers.
Under the bonnet of the Bovensiepen Zagato works a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine that generates an output of 449 kW (611 hp). The maximum torque is stated as 700 Nm. Significantly above M4 level, then. These performance figures enable acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, while the top speed is over 300 km/h.

Deliveries from the third quarter of 2026
The combined fuel consumption according to the WLTP procedure is 10.4 liters per 100 kilometers, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 235 g/km. According to CEO Andreas Bovensiepen, a special focus of the development was on the tuning of the chassis and the generation of an emotional engine sound.
Naturally, the Zagato is not cheap. The official sales launch takes place at a base price of 369,495 Euros including statutory VAT ex works Buchloe. After an intensive test phase, in which the vehicle covered several thousand kilometers, the company plans to deliver the first customer vehicles in the third quarter of 2026.
The Bovensiepen brand, which unites all competencies from development to individualization under one roof, sees the Zagato merely as a prelude; further models are already in planning. The family business aims to position itself as a provider for collectors and automotive enthusiasts who value handcrafted unique pieces beyond mass-produced automobiles.
