Five riders received time penalties because they violated the minimum pressure rule in the front tire. These were on the one hand Joan Mir (Honda) and Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse-Aprilia).
On the other hand, it affected the Yamaha riders Alex Rins, Jack Miller and Toprak Razgatlioglu (both Pramac). All five penalized riders received a time penalty of 16 seconds according to the regulations.
This was especially bitter for Mir, as he lost his second place because of it. It would have been his first podium of the 2026 season. In the new result, the former world champion was listed in 13th place.
“For things you cannot control, I ultimately consider this podium mine, that belongs to me,” Mir says about the time penalty. “Honestly, I don’t know what really happened there.”
“From everything I see, the front tire worked and everything was fine according to the sensor. So I really don’t know what happened. And what I cannot control, one should not waste too much attention on.”
Thus, behind winner Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46-Ducati), Fermin Aldeguer (Gresini-Ducati) was the new second. For the 21-year-old, it was the first podium place this season.

The new third is Ducati factory rider Francesco Bagnaia. There was also an investigation against the Italian. In the post-race inspection, it was found that his tire pressure was correctly set at the start of the race.
The detected pressure loss was proven to be due to a leaking rim. Therefore, no rule violation was found and Bagnaia remained penalty-free.
Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) also gained a position and moved up to fourth place. The new fifth is Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha).
The top 10 are completed by Luca Marini (Honda), Brad Binder (KTM), Ai Ogura (Trackhouse-Aprilia), Diogo Moreira (LCR-Honda) and Franco Morbidelli (VR46-Ducati) (for the complete result).
Ogura had already received a three-second time penalty immediately after the race for the collision in the final corner with Pedro Acosta (KTM).
