(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – Kimera Automobili officially enters the world of hypercars – with the new K-39, the most ambitious model to date from the Piedmontese brand founded by Luca Betti. Presented at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2026 on Lake Como, the K-39 marks a historic turning point for the Italian company.

Until now, Kimera was mainly known for modern reinterpretations of legendary Lancia rally cars from the 1980s like the EVO37 and EVO38. This time, however, it is not a restomod: the K-39 is a completely independent project, developed from scratch – with the ambition to break into the small circle of the most exclusive hypercars worldwide.
Also involved in the project is Dallara, the Italian motorsport engineering company, which supports Kimera through technical consulting and joint development. The declared goal: a hypercar that combines high performance, low weight, and as analog a driving experience as possible.

As usual with Kimera, the K-39 will also be built in a limited series. Even before the official presentation, over 20 units had already been allocated to selected customers. The first ten buyers will also receive access to the special Pikes Peak configuration.

After its debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the K-39 will start an international roadshow with stops at events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Monterey Car Week, Spa-Francorchamps, and the Le Mans Classic. At Le Mans, Luca Betti will drive a historic vehicle that served as inspiration for the K-39 project – as a symbolic bridge between past and future.
With this hypercar, Kimera finally bids farewell to the role of a pure nostalgia interpreter of historic motorsport and attempts to build an independent identity in the environment of modern super sports cars. An ambitious step that gains additional weight through collaboration with Koenigsegg and the debut at one of the most prestigious automotive events in the world.
