The Mazda 6e starts the 2027 model year with numerous improvements. At the center is a new lithium iron phosphate battery (LFP) with 78 kWh storage capacity. It is intended to make everyday electric driving easier, especially on longer trips, and according to Mazda enables a WLTP range of up to 560 kilometers.
The electric sedan also significantly increases its charging power. At DC fast charging stations, up to 200 kW will be possible in the future. Under optimal conditions, the battery should be able to charge from ten to 80 percent in 24 minutes. According to the manufacturer, this corresponds to an additional range of almost 400 kilometers.
More refinement for drivetrain and chassis
In addition to the new battery, Mazda has also revised the drivetrain and driving behavior. The accelerator pedal is said to respond more directly and naturally. At the same time, maximum acceleration and recuperation performance have been improved.
The engineers have also retuned the chassis and steering. Revised shock absorbers, adjusted springs, and a new calibration of the electric power steering are intended to improve both comfort and driving dynamics.

Navigation plans charging stops more intelligently
The software also receives numerous updates. The navigation system now shows available charging stations, recommends suitable charging points when the battery is low, and can dynamically adjust the route. Drivers can also specify the charge level they want to reach at a charging point or their destination.

The 14.6-inch touchscreen operates with revised menus and improved voice control. Mazda is also expanding the system’s multilingual support.

The assistance systems also benefit from a revision. The extended steering support now works up to 160 km/h, and the lane keeping assistant intervenes more gently than before.
Also new is a “Pet Comfort Mode.” It maintains the set interior temperature after leaving the vehicle. This is intended to benefit pets or temperature-sensitive purchases.
New equipment and prices
A new trim line, Homura Plus, is added to the program. It features black partial Nappa leather seats with red stitching, a sportier interior design, and black accents on the front, rear, and side skirts.
The Takumi Plus is also upgraded. Buyers can now choose between white or light brown partial Nappa leather seats. The interior is complemented by new decorative elements in dark wood look.
The 2027 model year Mazda 6e is now available for order. Prices start at 47,490 euros for the Takumi. Homura Plus and Takumi Plus each cost 49,490 euros.
