Moto3 Q1: These four advance
In the first qualifying session of Moto3, Alvaro Carpe, Ryusei Yamanaka, Hakim Danish, and Jesus Rios secure the late ticket for Q2 entry in the top four positions. Marcos Uriarte narrowly misses out as fifth. Behind him, Adrian Cruces and Guido Pini also remain stuck in Q1. Leoi Rammerstorfer ends the session in ninth place.

Grid penalty for Johann Zarco
The situation between Johann Zarco and Marco Bezzecchi at the end of qualifying has consequences: Because Zarco obstructed his colleague on his fast lap, he was handed a three-place grid penalty. Thus, the LCR rider will start from 14th place on Sunday. His team has confirmed this.
Loris Capirossi officially MotoGP legend
Loris Capirossi was officially named a MotoGP legend on Saturday in Misano. The Italian received the honorary medal and thus belongs to the circle of more than 40 legends.
Capirossi became world champion in the 125cc class in 1990 at 17 years and 165 days old and remains the youngest motorcycle world champion in history. He won a total of three world titles and competed in 328 Grand Prix races, 217 of them in the premier class.
“It is the dream of all of us to one day be a MotoGP legend,” says the 53-year-old. He dedicated his award to his family. The legendary number 65 has not been assigned since 2016.

Beirer: Vinales return in Spielberg still open
KTM motorsport chief Pit Beirer dampened expectations for a comeback of Maverick Vinales at the Austrian Grand Prix in Spielberg this morning. “The goal is to be there in Spielberg, but it is absolutely not confirmed. My feeling is still 50:50,” he explained in a press conference in Misano.
The Spaniard is to be examined again on Monday. According to Beirer, the problem lies less in the basic healing of the arm but in its mobility. “The external rotation is missing, and he also has significantly less strength compared to the other arm.” This causes Vinales to lose time especially in direction changes and corners.
But for a MotoGP race, it is not enough just to be able to sit on and ride the motorcycle. A decision is to be made in Spielberg: “Then we are close, and then it will be yes or no. I really hope we have him back then.”
Bezzecchi: “It was a tough session”
Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia/1.): “It was a good lap. I am happy because qualifying was not easy. I had to deal with many yellow flags, and it was difficult to find concentration. In the first stint, I stayed on track one lap longer just to set a lap time, and fortunately, it was my best lap.”
“In the second stint, I couldn’t do a free lap. Zarco ruined my only free lap, so it was a tough session. But yes, I am very happy. The team did a fantastic job, and now we focus on the races.”
Marc Marquez: “Goal was the first row”
Marc Marquez (Ducati/2.): “Last year my pace was a bit better, but this year it looks like Marco is extremely fast, especially in the third sector, in the fast corners. Let’s see if we can fight.”
“The goal was the first row. When I came back to the pits and saw 1:29 on the display, I thought: ‘Okay, goodbye pole position, I won’t get there.’ I knew where my limits were. I gave everything, tried to push 100 percent, and it was enough to reach the goal but not to be on pole.”
Aldeguer: “Found the feeling from Aragon again”
Fermin Aldeguer (Gresini-Ducati/3.): “Yesterday was honestly a difficult day. On the last attack on the best time, we had a bit of bad luck with a technical problem, and the feeling was definitely not perfect. We worked hard yesterday afternoon to get a better feeling, and yes, today we more or less found the feeling from Aragon again.”
“We were able to use the soft tire well, and that is super important here. I don’t know if my pace is really, really good for the race, but starting from third place is always better.”

MotoGP Q2: Bezzecchi stays ahead
Marc Marquez also has to abort his last lap. So it remains: Bezzecchi takes pole with the first 1:29 time in Misano. Marc Marquez is second, 0.198 seconds behind. Aldeguer rounds off the front row as third.
Di Giannantonio finishes fourth despite a crash ahead of Martin and Marini. Acosta is sixth and shares the third row with Morbidelli and Alex Marquez, who crashes a second time. Fernandez, Zarco, and Espargaro do not get beyond positions ten to twelve.

MotoGP Q2: Diggia down
Di Giannantonio has crashed. He can continue. However, improving will likely be difficult. Marc Marquez can improve but only enough for second place. He has one last attempt left in the fight for pole.
MotoGP Q2: Marquez at the limit
In the first two sectors, Marc Marquez is not far from Bezzecchi’s record time, but the world champion is at the limit, goes wide, and has to abort the lap. Things go better for Aldeguer. He improves to second place and reduces the gap to the leader to 0.369 seconds.

Five minutes left and the second run begins. Bezzecchi has set a strong pace. Can anyone still challenge him for pole at his home Grand Prix? Alex Marquez is also back on track after his early crash.
MotoGP Q2: Record lap
After some initial difficulties, Bezzecchi is running well. With 1:29.982 minutes, he sets a new track record and leads with a clear advantage of 0.467 seconds over Di Giannantonio. Marc Marquez initially ranks third. Martin, Morbidelli, and Alex Marquez follow behind.
MotoGP Q2: Early crash
Neither Bezzecchi nor Marc Marquez manage a clean first lap. Instead, Alex Marquez sets a time of 1:30.733 minutes. Shortly after, however, the Gresini rider dumps his Ducati into the gravel.

The next 15 qualifying minutes are about the front starting positions and pole. Last year, this went to Bezzecchi. Can the Aprilia rider achieve back-to-back poles?
MotoGP Q1: Bagnaia only fourth
The only one who can noticeably improve in the final phase is Aldeguer. He moves up to second place, pushing Quartararo out of the top 2. Fernandez remains ahead with his early best time. Thus, he and Aldeguer advance to Q2.
Bagnaia remains stuck in fourth place. This means 14th on the grid for the Italian – his worst starting position so far in Misano. Moreira is fifth, closing the fifth row. Row six is formed by Bastianini, Mir, and Miller. Binder, Rins, and Razgatlioglu complete the grid in the last positions.
