“Le Mans would be an example. McLaren is participating [in the race], so maybe something will happen there in the future. But I don’t know. I’m still young, so I haven’t thought about everything yet. Hopefully, I will have children someday who get into motorsport themselves. Then I could experience it all again.”
McLaren will participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2027 with a hypercar. The manufacturer thus belongs to a variety of companies that have been involved in the top class of endurance racing in recent years. Ford is also currently planning a hypercar appearance at the classic race at the Sarthe.
Currently, Max Verstappen is causing a stir mainly through his foray into the world of endurance racing. However, Norris has already participated in the 24 Hours of Daytona in his racing career. At that time, the Brit was teamed up with Phil Hanson and Fernando Alonso in an LMP2 car and impressed with his speed.
Already at the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Norris confirmed that the challenge of Le Mans would appeal to him.
