– Oliver Bearman has clearly rejected speculation about a possible move to Aston Martin. The Haas driver emphasizes that his long-term goal remains a cockpit at Ferrari and he still feels closely connected to the Italian traditional team.

The Brit completed his first full Formula 1 season for Haas in 2026 and is considered one of the biggest talents from the Ferrari junior program. Because the path to a permanent cockpit at Scuderia currently seems blocked by the driver pairing with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, there has recently been speculation about possible alternatives for Bearman.
In the podcast “F1 Beyond The Grid”, the 21-year-old was therefore directly asked about a possible engagement with Aston Martin. The background is speculation that a cockpit there could become available in the coming years.
Bearman still sees his future at Ferrari
Bearman makes it clear, however, that he currently sees no reason to turn his back on Ferrari. “I feel very indebted to what Ferrari has enabled me to do. They have supported me from the beginning, since I came into Formula 3. I owe being here today to them,” explains the Haas driver.
For him, Ferrari remains the big goal of his career and Aston Martin is not an option: “Ferrari is the dream team for me. Not only because I am part of the program, but because it is probably the most iconic brand in the world. My goal remains to become a Ferrari driver one day. That is my plan at the moment, and then we will see how everything develops.”

At the same time, Bearman emphasizes that he does recognize Aston Martin’s potential but is currently not considering a move. “Aston Martin is going through a difficult phase at the moment. But I am sure that one day they will be an incredibly strong team. Still, I would not say that I am currently looking at them.”
Solid first half of the season at Haas
After the first half of the 2026 Formula 1 season, Bearman is in 13th place in the drivers’ standings with 18 points. This puts him well ahead of his Haas teammate Esteban Ocon, who has so far collected three points and is in 17th place in the standings. Overall, Haas has 21 points after the first half of the season and is in seventh place in the constructors’ standings.
With his clear commitment to Ferrari, Bearman has for now ended recent speculation about a possible move, although his long-term future in Formula 1 remains closely linked to developments in the driver market.
