(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – The Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric is facing a facelift just over two years after its debut. This could be shown towards the end of 2026 and early 2027. The intervention is not expected to be too fundamental but aims to keep one of Renault’s most important electric models competitive in an increasingly crowded segment.

First camouflaged prototypes of the Renault Scenic E-Tech were already spotted during test drives at the end of April. They indicate a facelift that will bring the SUV-turned-van closer to the new design language of the French brand. Based on the spy photos, we have created the possible design in an exclusive rendering of the new Scenic.
New headlights and revised details
As can be seen in our digital design based on the “caught” prototypes, the front of the Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric is changing the most. Engineers are working on newly designed headlights, new light signatures, and a more clearly defined bumper – with details reminiscent of the latest design developments of other French electric models.
The rear is also receiving updates: refreshed taillights and a changed light graphic. The goal seems to be to give the Scenic E-Tech a more modern appearance without changing its proportions as a family-friendly crossover. Thus, the length of about 4.47 meters and the focus on everyday usability will likely remain unchanged.
Updated technology
In addition to the appearance, Renault is also said to be working on technical innovations. Rumors speak of an update to the OpenR infotainment system with expanded functions as well as improved driver assistance systems (ADAS). Fine-tuning of the recuperation control and new features for electric everyday use are also conceivable. A further developed one-pedal mode as well as vehicle-to-load functions for operating external consumers are possible.

The interior is expected to retain its familiar basic structure with two digital displays and integrated Google system, but with updated materials and stronger software integration. Renault is deliberately focusing on the digital user experience on board – a factor that is becoming increasingly important in the European electric SUV market.
Batteries and range
No major technical upheavals are expected. The facelift of the Scenic E-Tech is likely to continue using the 60 kWh and 87 kWh batteries from the current lineup, combined with electric motors with 170 and 220 hp. The range could thus still be approximately between 420 and 625 kilometers according to WLTP. Software optimizations could further improve overall efficiency.
The official presentation of the updated version could take place by the end of 2026, with the market launch in Europe in the following months. For Renault, this is an important step: The Scenic E-Tech is one of the pillars of the brand’s electric strategy – together with models like the Megane E-Tech Electric and the new fully electric Twingo.
