(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – Who still builds a twelve-cylinder today? The king of engines is currently still available from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes, Aston Martin, and Pagani. BMW currently has no V12. But that used to be different. It wasn’t that long ago. Until 2022, they produced the M760Li (G12 series) with a 6,6-liter biturbo V12. And that’s exactly what tuner Manhart is now putting back on the map.

Admittedly, we already had a slight goosebumps moment when the press release with the souped-up flagship 7 Series fluttered into our inbox. A twelve-cylinder like that is just something special. From the factory, the V12 built between 2016 and 2022 with the engine code N74B66 produces an impressive 610 hp and 800 Nm. Now the Wuppertal-based BMW specialists from Manhart are following up, calling their MH7 700 a “modern interpretation of the ultimate luxury sedan”.
Thanks to a turbo upgrade in conjunction with a specially tuned software optimization or the in-house auxiliary control unit, the output of the 6,6-liter engine increases to 711 hp. At the same time, the maximum torque grows to 1.050 Nm. We haven’t received any performance data. From the factory, however, the M760Li already goes from 0-100 km/h in 3,7 seconds and reaches a Vmax of 305 km/h with the M Driver’s Package.
Acoustically, the increase in performance is accompanied by a stainless steel exhaust system with valve control, which is connected via sport downpipes with 200-cell HJS catalytic converters and is intended to give the 760 an even more striking soundscape. The standard braking system is retained in the vehicle shown, but according to Manhart, it can be replaced with higher-performance parts.

Additionally, the tuner installs new forged wheels in 9×21 inches on the front axle and 10,5×21 inches at the rear, combined with tires in 255/35ZR21 and 295/30ZR21. The rim finish in Gunmetal Grey is just one of many colors that can be realized on the wheels.

The overall package also includes a lowering of the standard air suspension including new coupling rods, several carbon components such as a front spoiler lip, rear spoiler lip, and exterior mirror caps.
In the interior of the noble twelve-cylinder vehicle, they went all out with a completely redesigned leather interior in brown and beige with decorative stitching and embroidered Manhart logos. The question remains: do you really need to soup up such a confident and subtle flagship?
