(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – No, this is not a prop from the latest Batman movie. What you see here is the new Brabus Bodo – a “Hyper-GT” costing over one million euros with 1,000 hp, more drama than in the jungle camp, and a disturbingly close relationship with the color black.

This impressive vehicle is named in honor of the late Brabus founder Bodo Buschmann. And it is a real exclamation mark from a company usually known for powerful Mercedes conversions.
You can theoretically order the Bodo in any color, but chassis number 01 has obviously decided to linger at the event horizon of the “anti-color.” The big WOW effect is guaranteed for the people from Botrop.
Brutal and fast
The custom body is made entirely of black carbon fiber stretched over an aluminum chassis. Even the airboxes and camshaft covers are carbon fiber, with real gold particles woven into the fabric – simply because it looks damn cool. It is exactly this kind of pointless detail that makes absolute sense in such a project.
Under the massive hood is a 5.2-liter V12 with biturbo charging. The key figures: 1,000 hp and 1,200 Nm of torque. That’s enough for a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just over three seconds – and that at a weight of 1,910 kilograms. The top speed is 360 km/h. The Bodo remains a (theoretical) 2+2 seater with a trunk and comfortable seats. In a world full of “low-calorie,” efficient electric V6 hybrids, this fully fat V12 feels like a glorious anachronism.

The base for this “lost son” is unmistakably the Aston Martin Vanquish, which is especially visible in the window line. However, Brabus has given it a meaner, squarer front with ventilation slots and a rather sharp “boat-tail” rear that houses a deployable spoiler in 911 style. In side view, with its 21-inch monoblocks, it almost recalls eccentric studies like the Maybach Excelero from 2005 – a gothic spectacle on wheels.
Refined to the max
The Aston DNA is more evident inside: the multimedia system and switches come from the Vanquish, including Apple CarPlay Ultra. That’s a good thing because it makes the Bodo a car you actually want to use for long trips. It’s not a stripped-out racer. However, Brabus has refined everything: new leather, a carbon housing for the driver display, and longer carbon shift paddles for the eight-speed automatic. A huge panoramic roof also prevents you from feeling like you’re in the coffin of a depressed vampire.
With the Bodo and the already known GTS Coupe (based on the SL 63), Brabus is increasingly emancipating itself from tuner to coachbuilder. The fact that the Bodo is limited to 77 units – a tribute to the founding year 1977 – only makes it more desirable. One million euros undoubtedly sounds like a lot of money, but for a vehicle with this presence and this proven mechanical base, it’s almost a fair offer for all those who find a normal Aston too ordinary. Bet on it: wherever you show up with this device, jaws will drop in rows.
