(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – No April Fool’s joke: After the successful start in the first quarter of 2026, BYD is extending its “E-Bonus” discount campaign until June 30, 2026. This means the discounted conditions for the entire model range in Germany will remain in place for another three months. The offer currently includes eight battery-electric models and three plug-in hybrids with the so-called Super-DM technology (Dual Mode).

A central model of the campaign is the BYD Dolphin Surf. The all-electric microcar, which was named “World Urban Car of the Year 2025,” is available from 12.990 euros after deducting the manufacturer’s discount and including the maximum government subsidy. This continues to position the vehicle in the lower price segment for urban electromobility.
The manufacturer is also focusing on aggressive pricing in the plug-in hybrid sector. The BYD Atto 2 DM-i is offered in the Boost equipment line at an entry-level price starting at 22.990 euros. The model belongs to the B-segment and achieves a combined range of up to 1.000 kilometers. The combination of electric drive and internal combustion engine is intended to enable both locally emission-free driving and long-distance capability.
Another example is the BYD Tang, a seven-seater SUV, where, according to the manufacturer, price advantages of up to 21.010 euros can be realized. With this, BYD is also addressing the larger vehicle segment and expanding its discount strategy beyond compact models.

According to the company, the campaign has already led to a significant revival in demand in the first months of the year. In particular, retailers report increasing customer frequency and growing interest in the brand. Patrick Schulz, Commercial Director and Deputy Country Manager of BYD Germany, sees the development as confirmation of the measure. The high response and positive feedback from sales contributed significantly to the decision to continue the E-Bonus beyond the first quarter.
With the extension of the campaign, BYD continues to pursue the goal of increasing market penetration in Germany and facilitating access to electromobility through price incentives.
