(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – Good news for muscle car fans: Dodge opens the order start for the next generation of the Charger in Europe. On the brand’s 60th anniversary, the muscle car icon returns as a completely newly developed multi-energy series, optionally as a fully electric Daytona or as a gasoline engine with a six-cylinder biturbo.

The new Charger is based on Stellantis’ STLA Large Multi-Energy platform. It was designed from the start for battery and combustion engines. European customers will get the model both as a two-door coupe and as a four-door sedan, each with a distinctive widebody body.
Thus, Dodge offers two completely different interpretations of the same muscle car character. The Daytona drives fully electric, the SIXPACK relies on a new six-cylinder biturbo. Both variants share design, driver orientation, and plenty of power.
Charger Daytona, the electric muscle car
According to Dodge, the Daytona is the fastest and most powerful electric muscle car with all-wheel drive. It comes as Scat Pack and R/T. The Scat Pack delivers 500 kW, equivalent to 670 hp, and sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. It covers the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds.
The R/T delivers 400 kW, or 536 hp, and accelerates to country road speed in 4.2 seconds. It completes the quarter mile in 12.4 seconds. Both models use a 400-volt architecture with a 100.5 kWh battery capacity.
Technically, the performance is based on a Dual Electric Drive Module architecture with one electric motor per axle. This provides standard all-wheel drive and immediate power delivery. By pressing a button, the PowerShot function delivers an additional 40 hp for a short time.

The Daytona also wants to impress acoustically. The Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust produces a powerful sound reminiscent of classic muscle cars, even though no combustion engine is installed anymore. Visually, the new R-Wing air channel at the front stands out, along with the illuminated Fratzog logo.
Those who want to take the Scat Pack to the racetrack can order the optional Track Package. It includes 16-inch Brembo brakes with red calipers, staggered 20-inch wheels, and adaptive suspension. Additionally, the Drive eXperience Recorder is included for lap time analysis.
When charging, the Daytona proves to be practical for everyday use. At a 350 kW fast charging station, it takes about 27 minutes under good conditions to go from 20 to 80 percent. Ten minutes of charging time should provide up to 110 additional kilometers. Dodge offers an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty on the battery.
Charger SIXPACK relies on six cylinders
Those who prefer refueling instead of charging can opt for the Charger SIXPACK. It combines a new 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder with biturbo charging and standard all-wheel drive. By pressing a button, the entire torque can be redirected to the rear axle.

In the Scat Pack version with a high-output engine, the SIXPACK delivers 550 hp. It takes 3.9 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph, and the quarter mile is completed in 12.2 seconds. The R/T offers 420 hp, accelerates in 4.6 seconds, and needs 12.9 seconds for the quarter mile. All well and good, but unfortunately, the times of a rumbling V8 are also over at Dodge.
For fans of classic muscle car tricks, there is launch control with five intensity levels and the line-lock function for controlled burnouts. Both drive types also share several driving modes as well as additional race and track programs.
Equipment, connectivity, and assistance systems
For the European market, Dodge has put together a special Plus equipment package, which is available for both R/T and Scat Pack models. This includes 20-inch wheels with all-season tires, electrically adjustable front seats, illuminated door handles, and a head-up display.
A 360-degree camera system, inductive smartphone charging, and a 16-inch digital instrument cluster are also standard. Optional extras include a Blacktop package with dark rims, a fixed panoramic roof, and an Alpine Pro sound system with 18 speakers.
Both drive variants use the I-DUV connectivity system, which enables real-time vehicle monitoring, geofencing, and theft detection. Additionally, there is an extensive assistance package with partially automated driving at Level 2, traffic sign recognition, and automatic emergency braking.
Order start, prices, and delivery
European customers can now order the Charger Daytona and the Charger SIXPACK, each as Scat Pack and R/T, through the official importer KWA and its dealer network. A new online configurator allows customers to assemble all equipment variants themselves.
Every buyer receives a certificate of authenticity signed by Dodge CEO Matt McAlear as well as a welcome kit to start the ownership experience. Buyers of the electric Daytona can also take advantage of an offer for a home charging station including installation through Free2move.

The prices for the new Charger start at 66,000 euros. The first vehicles are expected to be delivered to customers from September 2026.
