– The ADAC GT Masters is gearing up for the 2026 season. With a promising lineup of drivers and a total of six different brands, the ADAC’s GT3 junior league presents itself once again at a high level in its 20th season. An attractive prize pool of 570,000 euros in cash and prizes has been announced, which will be awarded to the successful participants.

For the first time in the series history, the season will start outside Germany. From April 24 to 26, the field of emerging young talents and ambitious veterans will race at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (Austria).
Tickets for the season opener as part of the DTM are available from 49 euros. The races will be broadcast live on Sport1 free-to-air and streamed online on Joyn, ServusTV On, as well as on the ADAC Motorsports YouTube channel.
ADAC GT Masters as international as rarely before
A total of 28 drivers from 15 countries and four continents will start. This makes the ADAC GT Masters this season more international than ever before.
With Ethan Brown (Liqui Moly Team Engstler Motorsport), a driver from Singapore is participating for the first time. Storm Gjerdrum/Fabio Rauer (FK Performance Motorsport) form the third youngest driver duo in the history of the ADAC GT Masters. At the season opener, they will have an average age of 18 years, three months, and 27 days.
The field is diverse with many new faces. 15 drivers are starting a full season for the first time, including ten rookies and four drivers who have only competed in one race weekend in the past.
With last year’s vice-champions, Tim Zimmermann/Leyton Fourie (FK Performance Motorsport), as well as the twins Sandro and Juliano Holzem (Schubert Motorsport), two pairings from last year will continue unchanged.
New teams and brands at the start
The drivers are spread across a total of seven teams. With the DTM-known team Comtoyou Racing from Belgium and HGL Racing, two new teams will compete in the ADAC GT Masters against the established ones for top positions. The Haupt Racing Team, last year’s winner in both driver and team standings, will again start with three Ford Mustang GT3 cars.
For the first time, FK Performance Motorsport with the BMW M4 GT3 Evo and Liqui Moly Team Engstler Motorsport with the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo 2 will each field three vehicles. The Austrian team “Razoon – more than Racing” will send two Porsche 911 GT3 R cars into the race after a strong debut last year.

ADAC GT Masters veteran Schubert Motorsport will again start with a BMW M4 GT3 Evo. Beyond the permanently registered participants in the series, ADAC is pleased about a high demand from guest drivers at selected events. The additional participants will further strengthen the high-class field of the ADAC GT Masters.
Following in the footsteps of Finn Wiebelhaus
An important component of talent development remains the “Road to DTM” this season as well. The winner of this ranking receives the entry fee for the next year’s DTM season.
Drivers earn points for their jointly achieved race results and their individual qualifying results, but also receive deductions for any misconduct on the track.
In 2025, Finn Wiebelhaus won both the driver championship in the ADAC GT Masters and the “Road to DTM” and made the step up for this season. He competes for HRT Ford Performance in the DTM.
Races still on Sport1 free-to-air
In the 2026 season, fans can again look forward to a wide range of live TV and streaming coverage of the ADAC GT Masters. Sport1 usually broadcasts the Sunday races live and also shows a short highlight summary of the Saturday race beforehand.
In addition, all races are streamed live on Sport1, Joyn, ServusTV On, and the ADAC Motorsports YouTube channel. The races can be followed live and re-live in more than 150 territories worldwide.
Of the total six race weekends in 2026, four will be held as sprint events (Spielberg, Zandvoort, Nürburgring, and Hockenheim) and two as endurance events (Lausitzring and Salzburgring).
