For the season highlight, the 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal race, the forecast looks perfect for the drivers: dry with moderate cloud cover and occasional sun at just over 20 degrees Celsius. After the recent heat weeks and the brutally hot NLS6 race, the 6-hour race will take place under pleasant conditions.
The heatwave, which was forecast for several days, will temporarily retreat to southern Germany over the weekend. Those seeking cooling from there will find it on Saturday in the Eifel. The NLS is lucky this time, as current forecasts indicate that the heat could return again in the days after the race.
During the setup runs on Friday, isolated showers and thunderstorms could still pass over the Nürburgring, but race day is expected to remain dry. On Saturday morning for qualifying, temperatures will still be below 20 degrees, so fast laps are conceivable.

By race start, it will warm up to around 20 degrees. After that, the models diverge slightly, with the forecasted maximum temperatures for Saturday ranging between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius. In any case, extreme heat will be absent.
The wind will blow from the north to northwest on race day—a clear difference from Friday when it came from the southwest. Gusts can reach up to 25 km/h, otherwise it will mostly stay below 10 km/h—a comparatively calm forecast at this point.
Fog cannot be completely ruled out on Saturday morning, as the dew point will be very close to the actual temperature. But even if it occurs, it should clear quickly, as the dew point will continue to drop throughout the morning. Accordingly, the perceived temperature for spectators will also be pleasant.
