– After Red Bull has mostly reported departures rather than arrivals in recent months and years, the Milton Keynes racing team has now strengthened once again. From July 1, Andrea Landi will join Red Bull as “Head of Performance.”

The Italian comes from the sister team Racing Bulls, where he most recently worked as deputy technical director. Previously, he was deputy head of vehicle performance at Ferrari. “His expertise will further strengthen the team’s performance,” emphasizes Red Bull in a press release.
Landi will report to Ben Waterhouse, who is simultaneously receiving a promotion at the Bulls. The team states: “With immediate effect, Ben Waterhouse takes on an expanded leadership role as ‘Chief Performance and Design Engineer’ and is responsible for the areas of design and vehicle performance.”
“This development strengthens the integration between these areas and will accelerate the development of competitive, high-performance solutions,” emphasizes Red Bull. Waterhouse moved from Toro Rosso to Red Bull in 2017 and reports directly to technical director Pierre Wache.

“These changes support the team’s long-term technical goals and reflect its ongoing focus on promoting internal talent while also attracting leading professionals from across the sport,” the team says.
Red Bull experienced a false start to the new Formula 1 regulations this year and currently stands only sixth in the championship after the first three race weekends. Max Verstappen and his new teammate Isack Hadjar have yet to secure a podium finish this season.
It was only recently revealed that Max Verstappen’s long-time race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase will leave Red Bull for McLaren by the end of 2027 at the latest. Previously, the team had already lost people like Adrian Newey, Jonathan Wheatley, Christian Horner, and Helmut Marko.
