(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – Those who think of red wooden houses and moose when it comes to Swedish motorhomes are not entirely wrong. In the future, however, a high-legged Sprinter with all-wheel drive will be more often in front of them. The Kabe Novum Traq 750 LGB marks a real milestone: it is the brand’s first 4×4 semi-integrated motorhome.

That Sweden can do robust has recently been shown by models like the Dovra Rig X-610 and X-750 as well as the more luxurious Rig-S, combining a lot of offroad attitude with classic camping comfort. Now Kabe is following suit. The new Traq 750 LGB is over 7.40 meters long and understands traction not as an extra, but as a concept.
The basis is the Mercedes Sprinter with switchable all-wheel drive and traction characteristics designed for loose surfaces. Added to this are more ground clearance and coarse-tread tires. This does not make the semi-integrated an expedition truck, but a serious camper for bad roads, wet meadows, or snowy mountain passes.
Lots of space
Despite the offroad ambitions, it remains clearly anchored in the comfort class with around 7.44 meters in length, including a long wheelbase and accordingly stable straight-line driving. Under the hood works the well-known 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel from the Sprinter range, combined with the 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. The permissible total weight depends on the configuration and goes up to about 4.1 tons.
The LGB floor plan stands for longitudinal single beds in the rear. The approximately two-meter-long sleeping surfaces can be connected into a large sunbathing area with an additional cushion. Below it is a spacious rear garage with a high load reserve, suitable for e-bikes, skis, or extensive outdoor equipment.
Typical for Kabe is the insulated double floor, which not only creates storage space but also frost-protected integration of fresh and wastewater tanks. About 170 liters of fresh water are on board, and the wastewater tank is similarly generous. Pipes run consistently in the heated area, a clear signal towards winter use instead of fair-weather camping.

Suitable for the whole year
Accordingly, the cabin is designed for year-round operation. Kabe relies on a water-based Alde hot water heating system with convectors and heated double floor. Walls, roof, and floor are heavily insulated, and the windows are multi-glazed. Even at subzero temperatures, tanks, technology, and interior remain reliably usable.
Inside, Scandinavian simplicity meets solid furniture construction. At the front is the classic half-dinette with swiveling cab seats. The side kitchen offers a cooker, sink, and a large refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment, designed for longer standstills. The bathroom is opposite or in the rear and combines shower and toilet in a functional, sufficiently spacious room.
Visually, the Traq clearly stands out from the more civilian Novum models. Black attachments, offroad tires, and the higher silhouette make it clear that more is planned here than just the parking spot behind the hedge. At the same time, the concept deliberately remains below the expedition class, no overlanding circus, but all-wheel drive with clear everyday usability.
Price-wise, the Traq 750 LGB plays in the upper league. Sprinter base, all-wheel drive technology, Alde heating, and double floor push the level well above classic front-wheel drives. Depending on the equipment, the Kabe approaches the 150,000-euro mark. In return, there is a 4×4 semi-integrated with genuine winter suitability, high tank capacity, and a space offering that also allows longer trips without fixed infrastructure.

Those who want to go even further into the extreme will find alternatives like the Torsus Praetorian Liberra or the Krug Expedition Rhino XL. The Traq, on the other hand, relies on a different idea: lots of space, lots of technology, lots of traction, without show, but with a clear message.
