24h Nürburgring 2026: Prosport starts for the first time with Mercedes-AMG GT3

– Prosport is opening a new chapter on the Nordschleife. The racing team from Wiesemscheid at the Nürburgring will use a Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the first time at the 24-hour race. The newcomer will already make its debut at the 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers this weekend.

For the drivers, Prosport relies on two long-standing Mercedes-AMG drivers, a mainstay in the team, and a young talent. The lineup is led by Adam Christodoulou, who has been racing for the brand with the star on the Nordschleife for over a decade.

Mikael Grenier has also been part of the AMG driver roster for many years and has competed in many races on the Nordschleife. Chris Lulham has comparatively little experience in the “Green Hell,” although the former sim racer already achieved an overall victory in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) last year alongside Formula 1 star Max Verstappen.

Mercedes veterans at the wheel

These three drivers will take turns behind the wheel of the car at the 24h Qualifiers. At the 24h race (May 14 to 17), the trio will be joined by Marek Böckmann, who has been driving for Prosport for a long time; the team had previously relied on Aston Martin vehicles in the GT3 class SP9.

The livery of the Prosport AMG will be familiar to long-time Nürburgring visitors. The vehicle sports the characteristic yellow-blue colors of the suspension manufacturer Bilstein, who has been the main sponsor of a Mercedes-AMG on the Nordschleife for many years. The team’s tire supplier is Goodyear.

“With Bilstein, we are driving for a partner who actively shapes motorsport technically and not just decorates,” says team founder Chris Esser. “Bringing the AMG GT3 to the Nordschleife under this flag is a big step for Prosport. The driver lineup shows the ambition with which we approach the 24-hour race.”

A total of five vehicles at the start

New managing director Marc Hennerici adds: “An AMG GT3 on the Nordschleife, Bilstein as a direct partner, and this driver lineup – that is a clear signal of where Prosport is heading. This development confirms to me that I am in the right team.”

In total, Prosport will field five vehicles at the 24h Qualifiers. In addition to the Mercedes-AMG GT3, there will also be two GT4 variants of the vehicle as well as two Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3s in SP9.
