(MST/Speedmaniacs.de) – Motorsport Games has announced the release of the new Version 1.4 for all Le Mans Ultimate owners for next Tuesday, July 28, 2026, and has presented, in addition to many improvements, the game content and the roadmap for the US track pass.

To kick things off, the track pass, divided into 3 packages, will integrate Daytona International Speedway and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca into the track portfolio. Each package, consisting of 2 tracks, will be available for 19.99 US dollars. Players who want all tracks can purchase the season pass for 44.99 US dollars and thus benefit from a 25 percent discount compared to the regular price.
In the first week of release, there will also be an additional 10 percent discount for the first package and the season pass. The late third and late fourth quarters are targeted for the release of the other two packages.
Next Level Live Race Stewards and Protests, Jokers for Protests
The Live Race Stewards and Protests features, introduced with V1.2 and further improved with V1.3, will be further refined with V1.4. Specifically, this means that false alarms will be reduced and some experimental rules will be introduced. This is an important step to allow the system to operate live on the track. “Our plan is to release each rule monitored by LiveSteward individually. For example, with this update, you will be moved to the pit lane if the car has barely moved for an extended period – so a stranded vehicle will no longer block the racing line for several laps,” explains Steven Hood, CEO of Motorsport Games and head of Studio 397.
The improvements to the protest system are described as a real “game-changer,” because while processing a protest currently takes about five minutes, which consumes a lot of working time with an average of 700 protests per day, processing will be fundamentally reformed in the near future.
Protests are now directly linked to the replay review system. If you want to submit a protest, it happens directly from the replay: You mark the timestamp and the involved driver and add comments, while the video serves as context. The race stewards will then review the protest using the replay, which enables faster and more informed decisions.
In this context, it is reminded that only intentional collisions are permissible as grounds for protest in events outside of championships. Unintentional accidents will be immediately dismissed. Those who wish to have race incidents reviewed should do so within the framework of online championships.
Another new feature is the elimination of the waiting period for submitting protests. In the future, there will be a 24-hour deadline for submission. At the same time, a credit system will be introduced: players receive three protest credits each month, but get one credit refunded for each successful protest.

RaceOS Powers Online Platform, Physics Improvements
With Version 1.4, Studio 397 renews the platform that underpins all online functions and is used for driver changes, championships, daily races, hosted servers, RaceControl, and so on. A previously used third-party component is being replaced by an in-house development, which is called “RaceOS” and is optimized for its own needs.
For game-to-game online connections, the network protocol is also being switched from TCP to UDP, promising more stable connections and the resolution of some long-standing issues. Furthermore, a way has been found to sanction players who have previously exited mid-race to avoid damage and penalties caused by them.
In the area of driving physics, Le Mans Ultimate benefits from a further developed simulation of brake temperatures, where the surface and core of the brake disc are simulated separately. This change also ensures more consistent braking performance and better braking behavior, which will be particularly noticeable in LMP3, LMP2, and some Hypercar vehicles.
Comfort Features, Further Improvements, 2026 Vehicles
The upcoming introduction of the new US racetracks also required fundamental considerations from the development team regarding the pit lane, as many US tracks, such as Daytona and Laguna Seca, do not have garages from which one can drive out directly. Therefore, a function has been integrated that automatically places the vehicle in the pit lane as soon as “Start Drive” is selected. This also corresponds more closely to the reality of WEC events.
In addition, players are urged to switch to the “Fast Lane” (the driving lane on the side of the pit lane away from the pit area) as quickly as possible, otherwise a penalty will be incurred.

With V1.4, the final updates for the 2026 vehicles are also available. These are the “Joker Upgrades” for Alpine and Cadillac. And finally, with next Tuesday’s update, which will take longer than previous updates due to the larger in-game changes, new “Practice+” servers for Pro and Pro+ members will also be introduced. These are special training servers that are ideal for sim racers who want to train more than just for the next race on the calendar.
