Wreckreation 2 is coming: First game info, screenshots and video trailer

(MST/Speedmaniacs.de) – With Wreckreation, released in October 2025, a now independent team of former Burnout veterans brought the good old arcade action back to PC and video consoles. But only a few months after the release, dark clouds appeared over Three Fields Entertainment, as the development studio was on the verge of collapse.

Fortunately, a way was found to continue providing the game with updates containing new game content and improvements until May 2026. After that, things went quiet around the British developers, who are now making a comeback with a bang. As the newly founded studio When Tides Turn, the same people behind Wreckreation will soon release Wreckreation 2. This time, they will act as both developer and publisher, thus holding all the strings themselves.

As for the game, it is said to be even more focused on racing and inspired by the action known from Burnout. The focus is on aggression, pressure, risk, and of course, the consequences that arise from them. Players must assess traffic, react to competitors, take risks, and make lightning-fast decisions in split seconds.

“Heartbreak City” will offer smaller and more densely built tracks instead of a huge open world and relies on challenging AI. More than 30 vehicles, which can be unlocked and upgraded via a tier system, will provide enough choice for tough competitions, as seen in the first video trailer.

Even though no release date or period has been specified yet, it can be assumed that Wreckfest 2 – click here for the first screenshots – as a further development of the original, should be released relatively quickly.
