– What starting grid will the DTM enter the 2026 season with? Official registration for the championship ran until the end of February 2026, with the deadline for early-bird registration set for the end of January. The season begins at the end of April for the first time in Spielberg, Austria (DTM calendar 2026) and again comprises eight race weekends, with two races held at each. More than 20 GT3 vehicles are expected.

In this post, we present all the teams that have been confirmed for the 2026 DTM season so far. Important: This is not the final starting grid, nor is it all registered cars, but exclusively a list of the vehicles that have been officially announced by the teams themselves so far (SPONSORED LINK: Secure tickets for the 2026 DTM season now!).

Mercedes-AMG Team Winward
Vehicles: 2x Mercedes-AMG GT3
Drivers: Maro Engel (GER), Jules Gounon (AND)
The former HTP-Winward team is an established force in GT3 racing. Founded in 2013, they won the 24 Hours of Spa with the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 in their first year and the title in the Blancpain Sprint Series a year later. After a year with Bentley, they returned to Mercedes-AMG in 2016.

In 2019, HTP was taken over by the US Winward team, backed by Texan businessman Bryce Ward and his son Russell Ward, both of whom race. They entered the DTM in 2021 and became runners-up in 2022 with Lucas Auer and Winward. In 2024, they won the 24-hour classic in Daytona for the second time and finished third in the overall DTM standings with Maro Engel.
He also stayed with the team in 2025 and took third place again; Jules Gounon joined instead of Auer. In 2026, the team is relying on the same duo.
Mercedes-AMG Team Landgraf
Vehicles: 2x Mercedes-AMG GT3
Drivers: Lucas Auer (AUT), Tom Kalender (GER)
The team was founded by Klaus Landgraf, who raced for many years himself. Since 2018, the squad from Bad Kreuznach has been using the Mercedes-AMG GT3; in 2021, they achieved their first victory and first pole in the ADAC GT Masters, followed by further driver titles in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
After having already competed in the DTM with two Mercedes-AMG GT3s in 2023, HRT’s brand switch to Ford in 2025 led to a comeback in the traditional series with the brand with the star. The team secured the services of veteran Lucas Auer, who became runner-up, and youngster Tom Kalender. In 2026, the two will start for Landgraf in the DTM again.
Manthey Racing
Vehicles: 2x Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo (992)
Drivers: Thomas Preining (AUT), Ricardo Feller (SUI)
The Manthey team from Meuspath was founded in 1996 by two-time DTM runner-up Olaf Manthey and even competed in the DTM for two years as a Mercedes team in 2001 and 2002. However, they gained great fame primarily through the Porsche entries in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring with the so-called “Grello”.
Since 2013, Manthey has been responsible for carrying out Porsche’s GT factory entries; in 2015, the team founder retired and sold 51 percent of the team to Porsche. After Manthey’s retirement, the company is managed by brothers Nicolas and Martin Raeder. In 2023, Manthey entered the DTM and immediately won the title with Thomas Preining.
After a disappointing title defense, the commitment was expanded to three cars in 2025 and they struck big again: Ayhancan Güven sensationally took the title in a heart-pounding finale, Morris Schuring became rookie champion, and Manthey took the title in the team standings. In 2026, they are reducing back to two cars: Preining stays, champion Güven is replaced by Ricardo Feller.
Land-Motorsport
Vehicles: 1x Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo (992)
Drivers: Bastian Buus (DEN)
The Land-Motorsport team of Wolfgang Land, who was twice Porsche Carrera Cup Germany champion, and his son Christian Land is one of the most traditional racing teams in the field, but only entered the DTM in 2025: Since the Allied project with the Porsche had fallen through, Ricardo Feller needed a new team and decided on a short-term DTM entry together with Land and his private Audi.
The team from the Westerwald, who were also successful with the Audi in the 24h race at the Nürburgring and in the ADAC GT Masters, managed at least one victory in Spielberg. In 2026, Land returns to the Porsche brand and will field at least one Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo in the DTM. Danish talent Bastian Buus will be in the cockpit.
Team Schubert
Vehicles: 2x BMW M4 GT3 Evo
Drivers: Marco Wittmann (GER), Kelvin van der Linde (RSA)
The Schubert team from Oschersleben was founded in 1999 by racing driver Torsten Schubert, who owns BMW dealerships and is one of the largest dealers of his brand in the region. In 2010, after successes on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, they competed in the ADAC GT Masters for the first time.

Since 2012, the team has received factory support from BMW; in 2015, they secured the team standings, and in 2019, they returned to BMW after a year with Honda. After further victories, the team entered the DTM in 2022 and became driver and team champion in their debut year with Sheldon van der Linde.
In 2024, the commitment was expanded by a third car; in 2025, the number was reduced back to two cars. At the end of 2025, Rene Rast left the team after three years; in his place, Kelvin van der Linde – brother of the 2022 DTM champion – is making his DTM comeback as a replacement.
Emil Frey Racing
Vehicles: 2x Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo
Drivers: Matteo Cairoli (ITA), Thierry Vermeulen (NED)
The Emil Frey team, founded in Switzerland in 2011, is owned by Europe’s largest car dealer. Initially, they developed the Jaguar XK Emil Frey and competed with it in endurance racing until the end of 2018. Team principal Lorenz Frey-Hilti was in the cockpit himself. With their own development, the team won the Silver Cup of the Blancpain Endurance Series in 2018. In 2015, they also became a Lexus factory team and competed on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
In 2019, after switching to Lamborghini, the team won the team and driver standings in the GT Open series. In 2022, the team entered the ADAC GT Masters and won the team standings. In 2023, the brand switch to Ferrari and the DTM entry with Jack Aitken and Thierry Vermeulen followed. In 2025, the team was expanded by a third Ferrari and fought for the title with Aitken.
In 2026, the Swiss team reduced their commitment back to two cars. Aitken, who is focusing on his prototype program in the Cadillac, was replaced by Italian Matteo Cairoli, while Vermeulen remained on board.
