(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – Lotus presents the new top variant of the Emira series with the Emira 420 Sport. The model is positioned as the most powerful, lightest, and aerodynamically further developed version of the series and has been designed for both road use and track use. The focus is on further enhanced driving dynamics within the existing Emira architecture.

The Emira 420 Sport is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine with 420 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. According to Lotus, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of just under 300 km/h. The drive concept is designed for direct response and short shift times.
Optionally, the so-called “Lightweight Handling Pack” is available. This reduces the vehicle weight by 25 kilograms compared to the Emira Turbo and simultaneously increases aerodynamic downforce by 25 kilograms. The package includes double-adjustable Multimatic dampers, a titanium exhaust system, a lithium-ion battery, additional carbon fiber components, and a track performance application for recording and analyzing lap times.
Better Cooling
In the area of aerodynamics and cooling, the Emira 420 Sport has been comprehensively revised. Changes include a new front splitter, optimized front air outlets, extended side skirts, enlarged air intakes, a rear spoiler lip, and a newly designed tailgate with ventilation slats.

These measures increase the airflow to the outer radiators by 15 percent, to the central cooling system by 14 percent, and improve brake cooling by 10 percent. The air supply to the exhaust valve is increased by 30 percent.

The chassis is based on a bonded aluminum chassis with double wishbone suspension. This is complemented by an electrohydraulic steering system and a ground clearance reduced by five millimeters. The goal is more precise feedback and reduced body roll while maintaining high mechanical grip. Inside, 12-way adjustable seats, a driver-oriented control concept, and carbon shift paddles are used.
Carbon Package and Orange Details
Additionally, Lotus introduces an optional carbon package that includes, among other things, front splitter, side skirts, wheel arch vents, side pods, rear spoiler, and diffuser surrounds. Additionally, nine wheel designs and new 20-inch forged wheels in a 15-spoke design in “Satin Dark Grey” are available. The paint palette includes 16 colors, including the exclusive shade “Tangelo Orange.” This is also used for an optional hand-painted interior package that accents the center console, steering wheel spoke, gear lever, and air vents.
New is also a removable tinted glass roof panel available for all Emira variants. It can be stored in the vehicle and allows switching between closed and open configurations without changing driving dynamics.
The Emira 420 Sport is now available for order. The first deliveries are scheduled for August 2026. Entry prices are 129,900 euros in Europe, 105,900 pounds in the United Kingdom, and 122,900 US dollars in the USA.
