– The Manthey team has shown the new Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo for the first time with the DTM designs for the 2026 season, two days before the official test in Spielberg. The top Porsche team based in Meuspath near the Nürburgring, which is reducing its DTM commitment from three to two cars in 2026, is once again relying on the proven “Grello” look this year.

Thomas Preining’s car with the starting number 91 will be used in the bright yellow color scheme with which the Austrian already won his DTM title in 2023. Manthey newcomer Ricardo Feller, who was still in the Land-Audi last year and takes over the cockpit from DTM champion Ayhancan Güven, will drive the bright green Porsche with the starting number 90, which is also known to fans as “Greeno”.
New are the red color elements on the rear side window of the Porsche from sponsor Motul, which has already sponsored the Manthey team in the DTM in recent years. It is also striking that the lettering of the Australian partner team EMA has completely disappeared. The cars are also no longer referred to as Manthey EMA, but only as Manthey.
Why the EMA lettering has disappeared this year
What’s behind it? “Manthey and EMA Motorsport are focusing their 2026 efforts on their respective core programs and regional areas of operation,” the Manthey team explained the change when asked by Motorsport-Total.com. “For EMA, this means a stronger focus on their racing activities as a Porsche customer team in Australia,” referring, for example, to the entries in the Porsche Carrera Cup there.

“Even if we no longer compete under a joint name in the DTM, the usual synergies (e.g. in the area of knowledge transfer) as well as the fundamental exchange and partnership between Manthey and EMA will continue to exist,” Manthey clarifies that the cooperation with the Australian partner team continues, although the team will also no longer start under Manthey EMA at the Nürburgring.

Apart from the missing EMA lettering, little has changed in the two DTM designs. This year, both cars have been fitted with the same sponsor logos, whereas in previous years there were differences between the two cars. However, this can theoretically change during the season – and depending on the race weekend.
High expectations after successful 2025 season
As early as Tuesday, fans will be able to see for themselves what the Manthey look and the designs of the 19 other DTM cars (click here for the starting field for the 2026 season) look like on the track, as the official test before the DTM season opener at the end of April will take place in Spielberg, which will also be held at the Red Bull Ring.
Expectations at Manthey are high in any case, because last year they not only secured the drivers’ title with Güven, but the Porsche team also took the title in the team standings. This year, with the Land team relying on youngster Bastian Buus, a second team with a Porsche car will compete in the traditional series for the first time since 2023.
