With the Meridian 911, the US-based manufacturer Signature Autosports presents a reinterpretation of the classic Porsche 911, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern engineering. The North Carolina-based company draws inspiration for this conversion from historic long-distance rally vehicles.
The vehicle was designed as a grand touring expedition platform, specifically aimed at use off paved roads, without giving up the characteristic silhouette and fundamental driving behavior of the rear-engine sports car.
Newly developed chassis
The technical modifications aim for enhanced off-road capability while maintaining long-distance comfort. Core features of the conversion include a newly developed chassis with increased ground clearance, long suspension travel, and an adapted all-terrain suspension geometry that can be adjusted via adjustable dampers. For off-road use, the car is equipped with all-terrain tires with reinforced sidewalls as well as a robust underbody protection including integrated skid plates.

The drivetrain was revised with regard to reliability to ensure consistent power delivery and traction even at extreme altitudes and changing outside temperatures. Additional lighting systems, such as a roof-mounted LED bar and adaptive headlights, optimize visibility. Furthermore, additional storage options for expeditions have been integrated into the bodywork.
Analog interior
Inside, traditional functionality was combined with modern surfaces. The cockpit relies on classic, analog round instruments in the style of the 911 and ergonomic seats to support a direct connection between driver and vehicle.

The use of hand-stitched leather and precisely milled components defines the appearance of the interior. According to company founder Aaron Richardet, the model is aimed at drivers who value mechanical authenticity and durability over long distances.
The entire development process of the vehicle takes place directly at Signature Autosports without involving external suppliers. The company covers all disciplines in-house – from engine development to metalwork and electrical systems to bodywork, painting, and upholstery.
This vertical integration is intended to ensure seamless quality control and allows customization to specific customer wishes. The company, which is also registered as an official car dealer in North Carolina, handles the entire purchase and customization process through its own structure.
