(MST/Speedmaniacs.de) – Straight4 Studios announced the release of its PMR Test Centre via ModHub on the late afternoon of Thursday, July 9, 2026. The test area originally designed by the developer team for Project Motor Racing, which served to test different surface materials, optimize force feedback and gamepad rumble effects, and assess the driving behavior of various vehicles under different grip conditions, is now available for free to all game owners as a thank you to the community.

The PMR Test Centre near the village of Santa Giustina in Italy is not intended to replace the great race tracks already present in the game. It serves a different purpose: It is a playground, a workshop, a blank canvas with ideal racing lines.
Contrary to what it might seem at first glance, the track is also suitable for exciting races. A total of 6 layouts are available, each with its own characteristics and purpose.
Available are the race track layout, a complete track with details at the trackside and a smooth track flow, a large loop designed for high-speed driving and oval-style tests, and a small loop for shorter drives.

“Small Needle Skidpad” invites sliding, drifting, and experimenting. The “Big Needle Route” is a combination of a rather traditional race layout and a large, oval-shaped curve section with banked turns. And the “Playground” is designed as an open area where you can – with penalties disabled – freely drive across the entire site, including the original test tracks where it all began.

Thus, the PMR Test Centre covers all the basics not only to test cars but also to further develop your own skills – both as a driver and as a modder. Straight4 Studios plans to provide a “How to Build a Track” guide shortly, which will give background information about the creation of the area, include sample files, and teach interested players how to build the race track layout themselves and modify parts of the area or use it as a starting point for creating new own layouts.
