This states in Article 22.15 of the Sporting Regulations of Formula 2 that all team and technical staff must wear long pants in the pit lane during all sessions. However, the Colombian was seen standing next to her brother Sebastian’s car in qualifying wearing a short white skirt.
As a result, her Prema team was summoned to the stewards. There, they defended themselves by saying that Paulina Montoya was a guest of the team and not an operational member.
However, the stewards referred to the Event Notes for Madrid published before the weekend, which state under point 11.1 that all guests fall under the “Participants” defined in Article 20 of the International Sporting Code. And there it says that participants are all persons who have access to restricted areas – such as the pit lane.
This means that Paulina Montoya must also comply with the regulations – which she did not with the white skirt. Since Prema as a team is responsible for the actions of all persons to whom it grants access to the restricted area, the racing team was fined 500 euros.

Juan Pablo Montoya’s daughter, who even celebrated her birthday that day, took the matter with humor and posted photos on her Instagram channel on Saturday showing herself in long white pants with the caption: “Appropriate attire”.
This is not the first time a guest caused trouble for a Formula 2 team this year: In Belgium, Noel Leon was even disqualified from the main race because one of his guests wore a wrong headset.
Because it had a microphone, the guest was counted as an operational person, which meant Campos exceeded the allowed limit of twelve staff around the operation of the car.
