Wreckfest 2: Early Access Update 7 packed with new features and game content

(MST/Speedmaniacs.de) – As announced in March for May 2026 and confirmed with a specific date a few days ago, the content update #07 for Wreckfest 2 by Bugbear was released today, Tuesday, May 19, 2026. For early access participants, this means even more fun and game content.

A look at the changelog and the 2:11 minute trailer make it clear that the wait was worth it, as the latest update for the action racing game is extremely extensive. In addition to new vehicles, including a curious half-vehicle, a new race track with 3 layouts, and 7 new challenge events, there is much more.

For the first time, Wreckfest 2 players can try out the vehicle tuning system and change various aspects from brakes to differential, suspension, gear ratio, and steering. On the high-speed oval race track of Mora Raceway, the new Suicide game mode can be played exclusively. Overall, AI opponents are now supposed to behave more naturally and use different racing lines.

Through a revision of the physics simulation engine, vehicle damage now not only looks better but is also overall more accurate depending on object collisions and interactions, while vehicles and their handling benefit from improved tire simulation, a more realistic asphalt tire model, and various improvements in vehicle tuning.

Under the hood, there are many bug fixes and optimizations that benefit program stability, and the developers have also put some work into the user interface, online functionality, and sound playback.
